The SLV Process
At SLV Fine Jewelry, every piece begins with a point of view. Whether I’m sourcing an antique jewel, restoring a piece that has survived generations, or creating something completely new, I’m drawn to jewelry with character—beautiful materials, thoughtful craftsmanship, and details that make it feel unlike anything else.
Curated, Not Collected
I’m incredibly selective about what becomes part of the SLV collection. I source antique and vintage jewelry from different eras, looking beyond labels and age to find pieces that feel special. I’m drawn to unusual settings, old-cut natural diamonds, rare gemstones, beautiful gold work, and designs that still feel relevant today.
Not everything old is exceptional. I look for the pieces that are.
Restored With Respect
Antique jewelry was made to be worn, and I believe restoration should make that possible without erasing what made a piece special in the first place.
Each vintage and antique piece is individually evaluated before being offered at SLV. When restoration is needed, we approach it thoughtfully—repairing, securing, cleaning, polishing, or replacing components when appropriate while preserving the integrity, craftsmanship, and character of the original piece.
The goal is never to make an antique jewel look brand new. The little signs of its history are often part of what makes it beautiful. Instead, we want it to feel cared for, secure, and ready for its next chapter.
Custom, the SLV Way
Our custom work brings the same appreciation for old-world jewelry into something made entirely for you.
Sometimes that means sourcing the perfect natural diamond or gemstone and designing around it. Other times, we reimagine an heirloom, reset a stone from a piece you no longer wear, or take inspiration from an antique design and give it a more modern point of view.
Our custom pieces are designed by our founder, Caroline Rose and made in Chicago by our team of artisans, combining traditional craftsmanship with a less traditional approach to fine jewelry. I love pieces that feel collected rather than overly perfect—jewelry that could have been discovered in an antique case but somehow feels completely at home today.

Meet The Founder
I’m Caroline Rose, the founder and curator behind SLV Fine Jewelry, a Chicago-based fine jewelry company built around my love of exceptional stones, beautiful craftsmanship, and pieces with a story to tell.
I’ve always been drawn to jewelry that feels a little different—antique diamonds with character, rare gemstones, unexpected settings, and one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t see everywhere else. I personally source our collection of antique and vintage jewelry, with pieces spanning the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, Mid-Century, and Retro eras. Every piece is chosen for its design, quality, and individuality.
That same sensibility carries into my original designs for SLV. Working with natural diamonds and gemstones, I create pieces here in Chicago that are inspired by the details I love most in antique jewelry, reinterpreted for the way we wear jewelry today.
I’ve never believed fine jewelry should sit in a box waiting for a special occasion. It should be worn, layered, mixed, collected, and made your own. An Art Deco diamond ring can live alongside a modern gold band. An antique watch chain can become part of your everyday neck stack. A Victorian charm can feel completely at home next to something made yesterday.
That mix of old and new, refined and unexpected is at the heart of SLV Fine Jewelry.
